The Audacity of a Racist.

A summary of Barack Obama's Speech in Pennsylvania today.

This country was founded on racism.
My campaign is not about race.
I disavow what Rev. Wright said, but I don't really.
Its your fault, you are all racist.
White America made Rev. Wright.
White America caused all of the social ills.
White America held Black America back.
Still does.
To get over your White Guilt, vote for me.
Immigrants stand up against evil Whitey and vote for me.
Blacks can avenge slavery by voting for me.
If you don't vote for me, you are racist.
You are all racist.
I don't want this campaign to be about race.
If you question me on anything you are racist.
The nightly news is racist if they challenge me.
The Reagan Coalition is racist.
Talk radio is racist.
Welfare was racist.
If you didn't support welfare you are racist.
Elect someone else you are racist.
I am the next Martin Luther King Jr.
Stop evil corporations, they are racist and greedy.
Support me and socialism or you are racist.
Finally end slavery and injustice by voting for me.
Otherwise you are racist.
My campaign is about more than race.
But if you don't vote for me, you are racist.

This scenario was bound to come up, where Obama is going to have to either rise above the racial questions, or embrace the struggle...The problem is that his supporters are of the age that were oppressed and want some payback.

Not to say that Obama is the best guy for the job, but if he becomes President we can be assured that Obama will be scrutinized way more then Bush ever was. This problem of race will never leave him now.

In some ways I think it's unfair, but I think Obama has also handled it poorly. So no one is getting any satisfaction in the end....whites will be labeled racist even more and blacks will be even more outspoken about how things have not changed. The people in the middle are the ones that will suffer the most.
